This impressive old Black Bear skull comes from a sportsman's collection, and was professionally cleaned. Measures 11.75" x 7.5" (using calipers at longest and broadest points). Super robust individual who must have led a long and interesting life! All the teeth are worn with some cracking. One left upper molar and premolar are missing, and two middle upper incisors seem to have been lost long before death. The occipital condyle was sawed slightly on the bottom side. The right zygomatic arch is asymmetrical, with a small notch at the top. Not sure if this was from healed trauma, or just a natural quirk of growth.
I absolutely love bears with character and this one is sure hard to let go!
